Located at the base of the beautiful Catoctin Mountains in Frederick County, Maryland, the town of Thurmont is easily accessible via U.S. Route 15 and is a pleasant, scenic drive from points north and south.  Thurmont is approximately 50 miles from Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Maryland or Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Simply use the address for Catoctin High School, 14745 Sabillasville Rd, Thurmont, MD 21788, to navigate to the main shuttle bus parking area.  The shuttle bus service is available throughout the day from 8 AM to 6 PM.  Admission to Colorfest is free, but there's a nominal fee at the parking locations throughout town.

Scholarship

 Catoctin Colorfest, Inc. provides three scholarships each year in the amount of $1,000 and one scholarship in the amount of $1,500, to be awarded to Catoctin area high school graduates who are continuing their education.   Please see the link below for the scholarship application.
