Supporting local students

Each year, Catoctin Colorfest, Inc. awards scholarships to students from the Catoctin High School area who are continuing their education.

The program is a long-standing part of Colorfest’s commitment to supporting local students and giving back to the community.

The Catoctin Colorfest Scholarship Program has supported local students for many years. Through this program, Catoctin Colorfest, Inc. has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships to students in the Catoctin area.

It’s a simple, consistent way the organization gives back, by supporting students as they take the next step in their education.

Catoctin Colorfest, Inc. currently awards four scholarships each year.  

Award amounts and availability may be updated from year to year.

Who can apply

The scholarship is open to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Graduating from or a graduate of Catoctin High School
  • Planning to continue your education after high school

What to include with your application

A complete application must include the following materials:

  • A completed scholarship application form
  • A brief essay describing why you chose your field of study and outlining your career plans
  • At least two letters of recommendation from individuals other than family members
  • A transcript of your grades

Submit your completed application and all required materials using one of the options below:

Scholarship applications are typically made available each year around January.

Application deadline: May 10

Late applications are not accepted.
